Velveteen is a type of tufted fabric in which the cut threads are very evenly distributed, with a much shorter denser pile than velvet.Velveteen does not drape as easily as velvet. Imported Theatre Fabrics velveteen is 1.4m wide fire treated 240gsm and our stock colours are black, red, blue but almost any colour can be ordered. Also available in Black 1.45m wide. Other colours available on request. All our velveteen is fire treated with a smoke development index of 2 which means it can be used in practically any public situation.
