Velvet is a type of tufted fabric in which the cut threads are very evenly distributed, with a short dense pile, giving it a distinct luxurious feel. Velvet is usually used for front of house drapes to give a rich dramatic look. Imported Theatre Fabrics velvet is 1.4m wide fire treated 470gsm. Our stock colours are black, burgundy, red, royal blue, navy blue, green and purple but almost any colour can be ordered. All our velvet is fire treated with a smoke development index of 2 which means it can be used in practically any public situation.
