Our team includes scenic artists who are experts in traditional theatrical painting techniques and effects and highly experienced and trusted paint suppliers who all have a wealth of knowledge in this exciting industry.
At Scenic Art Services, we are passionate about our craft and committed to ensuring its future within the entertainment industry at all costs. Our workshop model is based on a traditional master-apprentice style of on-the-job training backed up by commitment to the art world in general …this allows for transition of skills, “old and new” and for appropriate succession planning.
Scenic Art Services has an amazing range of clients who we feel support us unconditionally and in return we ensure that all work carried out by us is done to a world class standard, this is across the board, either small or large. We would like to think that everyone walks away from us totally satisfied with our finished products. You only have to ask Opera Australia, John Frost, The National Ballet School, Andrew Kay or the Australian Ballet Company about Scenic Art Services and we know that the response will be that of total satisfaction.
Our scenic artists and assistants are completely dedicated to their roles and they love a challenge. Scenic Art Services have just experienced massive success working with our design team in New York and Australia on the most recent production of My Fair Lady……an amazing challenge given the history of this piece. Thank you to the artists and back stage team at Scenic Art Services.
Scenic Art Services are extremely proud of our contribution to My Fair Lady.
We understand the growing needs of the entertainment market place. As we grow in stature we have also expanded our fields far and wide.
Imported Theatre Fabrics also offers a series of printing options for the industry to access. We work with large format printing projects, creating images up to 12 metres deep (drop) by 60 metres wide, no joins, one continual piece of artwork….these are used primarily as movie cycs, however we did create 45 metre wide cloths for The Australian Ballets production of Cinderella, choreographed by Alexie Ratmansky…..we did end up printing most of the set, dressing, props and several costume pieces. We are able to enhance any printed image with the use of a technique developed by Scenic Art Services.
We have just finished a series of amazing print works for Groovin the Moo (touring concert), new Skoda release (Hunter Valley), Little Shop of Horrors and many more.
Watch this space for more in the world of print….
